Hello! It was a short but busy week. Here's what we have been up to : )  Remembrance Day Assembly Request  Our school will be honouring Remembrance Day on November 7th with a ceremony and a special school display. We invite families to take part in our Wall of Heroes by sharing a photo and a short description of a family member who has served in the military. Hello! It's hard to believe that it is already October! Where did the time go? Although this was a short week the students have been busy learning many things. Have a look! This week students began working in their printing booklets. Each student was also given a 'Printing Pal' (sock puppet) to help them achieve and maintain proper pencil grip when writing. Students began by learning how to correctly write the letter /c/ also called 'Magic C'. Ours are not quite as fancy as this, but you get the idea : )  'Magic C' is a very important letter because it forms the basis of many other letters. If a student can properly form the letter /c/ they can use that to print many other letters such as /o/, /a/, /d/, /g/, q/ and /s/. Students also practiced starting their letters at the top.
