Here's a sneak peek at our week.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In writing, we are nearly done the good copies of our fractured/twisted fairy tales.  The students are excited to share these with you at Parent-Teacher Conferences next week. Hello Everyone! I hope you had a lovely week. We are all enjoying the warmer weather! Here's a peek at our week! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In writing, students have finished writing the plan for their story. Next week they will work on writing their good copies and creating illustrations to go with them.  We have been learning about a new author this week, Bill Peet. Students also discuss the meaning of each word and use them in a sentence to help build vocabulary. In science, students worked on creating a musical instrument using what they have...

No easy feat so thank you! As you all know, I was away for most of the week sick, but was lucky to get to see the kids swim one day. As such, I do not have many pictures to show of the kids learning so it will be mostly text this time around.  --------------------------------------------------------------- In math, students in Gr. 2 worked on learning the traditional method for sovlving two-digit subtraction problems with and without regrouping. Students in Gr. 1 applied their skills in solving subtraction problems (using numbers to 20) to a variety of math challenges. They also completed the February calendar and ans...
